James Adelson
Chief Executive Officer
Jim Adelson is President and Managing Member of Nadel and Gussman, LLC and its various energy affiliates. Jim received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University.
Jim is a member of World President’s Organization, Chief Executives Organization and currently serves on the University of Tulsa Board, the Holland Hall Preparatory School Board, the Cornell University Arts & Sciences Advisory Council and the Tulsa Community Foundation.

Kevin DeLay
Chief Operating Officer
Kevin DeLay is Chief Operating Officer of Nadel and Gussman, LLC. He joined Nadel and Gussman in 2016 and holds both a BS in Petroleum Engineering and MBA from the University of Oklahoma.
Prior to joining Nadel and Gussman, Kevin worked at American Energy Partners where he served as Director of Engineering of AEP’s affiliates SCOOP Energy Co. and Haynesville Energy Co., as well as General Manager of McClendon Energy Partners. Prior to AEP, Kevin spent 10 years at Devon Energy.

Shelley Nichols
Chief Financial Officer
Shelley Nichols has been part of the Nadel and Gussman leadership team since 2007 and is the Chief Financial Officer. She received her Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma State University and is a certified public accountant.
Prior to joining Nadel and Gussman, Shelley held finance and accounting management roles at IBM, PricewaterhouseCoopers and British Petroleum. She is a member of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Women’s Energy Network.

Joey Stauffer
Vice President – Land
Joey Stauffer joined Nadel and Gussman, LLC in 2019 as its Vice President of Land. He received a BBA in Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma in 2001 and an MBA from the University of Tulsa in 2008.
Joey most recently held the position of Land Manager for Council Oak Resources, LLC, where he directed acquisition and development efforts for assets located in the Anadarko and Arkoma Basins in Oklahoma. Joey previously worked in various roles for projects based in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and the Gulf of Mexico.

James Bucci
Vice President – Geosciences
Jim Bucci is Vice President of Geoscience for Nadel and Gussman, LLC. Jim received his Master of Science in Geology and a BS in Geology both from the University of South Carolina.
Prior to joining Nadel and Gussman, Jim served as Director of Geoscience for American Energy Partners’ Woodford shale business unit in the Woodford Shale/Miss Lime in the Nemaha High/Anadarko shelf and Southern Division Geologic Manager for Continental Resources leading the exploration effort in the Anadarko/Ardmore Basins resulting in the identification of the South Central Oklahoma Oil Province (SCOOP) play now a major resource play in the Oklahoma and the US.
